Process server apps · A PRACTICAL GUIDE

Process server apps.
Built for your field day.

Compare process server apps by the work that matters: private jobs, routes, recorded attempts, returns and billing. Find the right tool for your business—and the right way to get started.

THE SHORT ANSWER

What are process server apps?

Process server apps organize the work around serving legal documents. A useful app keeps the recipient, papers, route, attempt record and return connected to the same job. The right choice depends on whether you manage your own clients, accept network assignments or request service for a legal team.

START WITH YOUR WORK

Three roles. Different needs.

01

I run my own jobs.

You source the client and manage the job. Look for connected intake, routes, attempts, returns and invoicing. See Command

02

I want network opportunities.

An assignment app may be tied to a provider’s own work. Review geography, credentials and terms before joining. Explore the Florida Network

03

I need documents served.

Law firms and paralegals need a request-and-tracking workflow. You do not need a server software subscription to request service. For legal teams

One current example. ServeManager publishes an iOS and Android mobile app for attempts, photos, signatures and account syncing. Read its mobile-app documentation ↗. DocketServe Command is a web workspace; the separate DocketServe iPhone app is coming soon. A mobile-friendly website and a downloadable app are different delivery formats.

LESS RETYPING. MORE CONTINUITY.

From the first detail.
To the final record.

01

Prepare once.

Keep recipient details, the full address, documents and access instructions with the private job. Confirm the correct papers before heading into the field.

02

Keep the field record close.

Evaluate route planning alongside attempts, notes, photographs and available location data. Test what happens when a record needs a correction.

03

Close with the whole picture.

Review the return, client record and invoice together. Check that you can retrieve the job later without reconstructing the history from separate messages.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you choose an app.

What are process server apps?

Process server apps help professionals manage service jobs and field activity. Depending on the product, that can include recipient details, documents, routes, attempts, photographs, returns and invoicing. Check whether an app manages your own clients or only assignments from a particular network.

Which app should an independent process server choose?

Start with your source of work. If you bring your own clients, evaluate private-job intake, route planning, field records, return preparation, invoicing and exports together. DocketServe Command is designed for that private-job workflow; compare it against other products using the same sample job.

Is the DocketServe iPhone app available?

DocketServe for iPhone is coming soon. App Store availability is subject to Apple approval, and no release date has been announced. Use the web workspace now or join the iPhone launch-update list. Do not treat an interface preview as a download offer.

Does a process server app provide assignments?

Job-management software and an assignment network are different services. DocketServe Command manages independently sourced private work. DocketServe Network is a separate Florida roster with no monthly subscription and no guarantee of assignments, volume or income.

What does DocketServe Command cost?

Published Command plans are Professional at $49 per month for 75 new private jobs, and Business at $99 per month for 200. A 14-day no-card trial is subject to credential and trial terms. Confirm current plan availability and terms on the Command page.

Can law firms use the same app to request process service?

Legal teams use the DocketServe client workflow to submit documents, follow accepted attempts and receive the return. That service-request flow is separate from Command software for servers. Current published service coverage is seven South and Central Florida counties, with each request reviewed before acceptance.
